Brazil’s Ex-president FHC Sees Need for Popular, Progressive Alternative Policies

By · November 11, 2019 · 1 min read

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Fernando Henrique Cardoso, a former president, once again used social media to comment on the current Brazilian political environment on Sunday morning, November 10th.

The ex-president discussed the current economic scenario in Brazil.

“Division is increasing. Without popular and progressive alternatives we will continue in the political/personal game,” he said on his official Twitter account.

It was FHC’s first statement after the release of former president Lula.

FHC mentioned the economic scenario. “In my time, the central issue was inflation; today it is growth and employment”.

“Without corruption,” he amended, ending the sequence.
