Brazil: Train derails in Rio’s Central do Brasil station
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – A train of the Santa Cruz branch derailed around 01:41 PM on Tuesday, March 15, when arriving at the Central do Brasil station in downtown Rio. According to Supervia, no one was injured. The accident scared passengers and workers passing by the site.

Supervia also expressed itself about the accident this Tuesday afternoon.
“Supervia technicians are working on repairs to release the line and normalize the platform of the Santa Cruz branch as soon as possible. Customers are being warned about the change through Central do Brasil’s audio system. There is no irregularity in the branch interval, and there were no injuries”.
