Vaccination champion Chile again records spikes in coronavirus infections in nine of the country’s 16 regions

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The number of coronavirus cases has increased in Chile. On Saturday, the highest number of infections in the last four months was recorded, and new infection spikes were reported in nine of the country's 16 regions.

In total, health authorities counted 2,895 new cases in the country, the highest number in four months, more than half of which occurred in the metropolitan region, which includes the country's capital.
