RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The estimated contribution of the sunflower crop chain to the Argentine economy will exceed 1.9 billion dollars in the current 2021/22 season and, if it is realized, it will reach a historical record thanks to the high international prices of the grain and its by-products, according to the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange (BCBA).

In this way, the stock exchange entity calculated the Gross Agricultural Product (GAP) of the complex at 1.909 billion dollars, 217 million dollars above that recorded in the last campaign, which meant an expansion of 12.8 percent.
