Argentina believes that there are foreign “interests” in the case against the vice president

The Argentine foreign minister, Santiago Cafiero, suggested this Friday that the "judicial persecution" of the country's vice president, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, is driven by "ideological interests that are born outside of Argentina", after a prosecutor requested a sentence of twelve years in prison against the former president (2007-2015) for alleged crimes of corruption.

The foreign minister of the South American country criticized in this way the statements of the Republican senator of the United States Ted Cruz, who asked the president of his country, the Democrat Joe Biden, on Thursday to impose sanctions against Cristina Fern . . .
