Inflation in Angola below 20% for the first time since April 2020

According to the National Institute of Statistics (INE), the class of food and non-alcoholic beverages contributed the most to the increase in the general price level in August, with a rise of 0.35 percentage points.

Miscellaneous goods and services followed it with an increase of 0.08 percentage points, clothing and footwear and health with an increase of 0.06 percentage points, and furniture, household appliances, and maintenance with an increase of 0.05 percentage points; the remaining categories contributed less than 0.05 percentage points.
