US admits Brazil in Global Entry, a system to facilitate entry into the country

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Brazilian government announced on Monday that Brazil has joined the U.S. Global Entry program, which allows for faster release upon entering the country while maintaining the visa requirement.

Global Entry, aimed at frequent visitors considered "trustworthy", especially executives, does not exempt the requirement for a visa to the United States but allows the citizen to enroll in the digital program.

If approved, the applicant will be granted entry through electronic kiosks at US airports and other border locations, without the need to stand in immigration lines.
