Record number of Brazilians deported from the U.S. from January to July 2022

The number of Brazilians deported from the United States reached its highest level in the first seven months of 2022, with 2,423 citizens deported on 19 flights chartered by the U.S. government, the Federal Police told Globo.

The volume is comparable to the total number of people who had to leave the country last year: 2,447. The average number of deportees per month was 204 in 2021 and 346 in 2022, an increase of 69% through July.
