Polls open in Brazil for second round of presidential elections

More than 156.4 million voters are called to the polls. Voting throughout the country will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (local time).

In the first round of the elections, Lula obtained 48.43% of the votes, while Bolsonaro received 43.2%.

Although polls agree on an advantage for Lula da Silva, the trend has evened out, and the average of the last 10 polls published in Brazil indicates a difference of only two points in favor of the PT candidate.
