RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil has lost the position of the largest exporting country to Argentina in 2021. After a technical tie in 2020, China surpassed Brazilian sales to the Argentines by more than US$1 billion last year.
With US$13.5 billion worth of shipments to the country, the Chinese have increased the pace of their exports and will account for just over one-fifth (21.4%) of Argentina's foreign purchases in 2021 - a significant improvement from the 14.3% in 2011.
