Covid-19 ceased to be leading cause of death in Brazil in second half of October – Arpen

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - October ended with positive results regarding the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazil. Data from civil registry offices point out that, last month, deaths from Covid-19 ceased to be the leading cause of disease-related deaths in the country.

The numbers were released in the Transparency Portal of the Association of Natural Person Registrars (Arpen Brazil). According to the figures made available by the organization, the leading cause of death by disease in the second half of October was sepsis.
