Brazil soybean farmers have already planted nearly 91% of total area amid good weather

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Planting of Brazil's 2021/2022 soybean crop reached 90.6% of the total area as of Friday (26), according to an estimate by agribusiness consultancy Safras & Mercado released Monday. Last week, soybean farmers had sown 84.2% of the area in the same period.

Planting is above the five-year average for the period (85.7%), as the weather has been mild in many producing regions of Brazil, the world's largest producer and exporter of the oilseed.
