Brazil: Seven dead in a traffic accident in the south of the country
At least seven people died and three were injured after the collision of a van and a truck that occurred around midnight on Thursday on a highway in the state of Paraná, in southern Brazil, which borders Paraguay and Argentina.
According to the first information from the Federal Highway Police, six people lost their lives when the van hit the back of the truck on highway BR-376, near the city of Palmeira, located in the center-south of Paraná.

On board the smaller vehicle were teachers who were traveling to Curitiba, the state capital, to participate in an event.
Four injured people were taken to hospitals located in the Curitiba metropolitan area, where one of them died and three others were in serious condition this Friday morning.
The bodies of the fatal victims were found today in the Legal Medical Institute of the city of Ponta Grossa, near the scene of the incident.
