Venezuelan state airline starts operations to the Brazilian city of Manaus

Venezuela’s Minister of Transport, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, informed this Thursday that his country’s state airline, Conviasa, formally started a new air route between the Venezuelan city of Puerto Ordaz (east) and the Brazilian city of Manaus (northern Brazil).

“With a weekly flight, our flag carrier (state-owned) Conviasa started operations between Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, and Manaus, Brazil”, informed the president of the airline above.

He assured that with the inauguration of the new air routes, “the tourist and commercial exchange between both nations is being facilitated. We continue to comply with the expansion plan (of air connections) ordered by President Nicolás Maduro”.

Once the epidemiological curve of COVID-19 contagions was controlled, the Venezuelan Government progressively authorized international flights in several country cities, maintaining specific biosecurity protocols.
