Sunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – ‘Roda de Forró’ offers the best in top quality forró music and reggae, the perfect way to wind down the weekend. This special Sunday night staple has been ongoing at Centro Cultural Carioca for years, featuring the forró and reggae styles of the Northeast.

The genre encompasses a number of northeastern Brazilian dances and has gained widespread popularity in most of Brazil whilst continually growing in popularity overseas. The night displays the fun and energy that keeps this popular style alive, at one of the longest running “rodas” in Rio. Be sure to wear your dancing shoes as the lively crowd is not one to let people sit much.
