Born Gustavo de Almeida Ribeiro in 1972 in São Gonçalo, a municipality located near Niterói and across the Guanabara Bay from Rio de Janeiro, Black Alien has performed with artists including bands Charlie Brown Jr., Paralamas do Sucesso and artists Fernanda Abreu, Marcelo D2, and Marcelinho da Lua.
The Art Rua after parties are presented by MOO and tonight will also feature DJs Tamenpi, Pathy Dejesus, Pedro Piu and Michell will also spinning during the event.

ArtRio 2014 (Gamboa)
The fourth edition of the modern and contemporary art fair, ArtRio continues today at Rio de Janeiro’s Pier Maua from 1PM to 9PM. One of the largest art fairs in Latin America, ArtRio is again taking place within five spacious former warehouses. There, thousands of works by international and Brazilian artists are being presented by hundreds of international galleries.

JP Silva will start things off tonight at 9:30PM at Lapa’s Carioca da Gema and instrumentalist Claudinho Guimarães will follow at 11:30PM. Guimarães released his first album entitled, A Luz do Criador in 2009 and is well known for his lively performances.

At 11PM, the group Coisa Nossa will follow with their lively samba and finally beginning at 2AM, the group Chamego Nordestino will play some of the best forró you can hear anywhere in the city tonight.
