Rowntree, also co-author of some of Blur’s most popular songs, including; “Song 2”, “Coffee & TV”, “Girls & Boys” and “Parklife,” makes a stop in Rio tonight as part of an ongoing DJ set tour of Brazil.
Also taking to the decks on the seocond floor of the venue tonight to spin the best of rock, indie, brit pop, and electro-rock will be Tito Figueiredo and Edinho.
It will be all about house, deep house, nu soul and nu jazz on the first floor as DJs Joca Vidal and Gustavo Magoo spin. DJ David Tabalipa will also throw down only records, for a 100% vinyl set, during the event.

MOO Discoland edition-Art Rua (Gamboa)
Tonight the MOO party presents a special Discoland edition as part of Art Rua 2014. Taking place at Centro Cultural Ação da Cidadania in Gamboa beginning at 10PM, special guest, Argentinian musician and DJ Ana Helder will perform and spin. DJs Diogo Reis, Dionysus Jr., and Badenov will also take to the decks during the night.

The fourth edition of the modern and contemporary art fair, ArtRio continues today, beginning at 1PM. One of the largest art fairs in Latin America, ArtRio is again taking place in five spacious former warehouses located at Rio de Janeiro’s Pier Mauá. There you can find works from thousands of international and Brazilian artists presented by hundreds of international galleries.

Tonight Centro’s La Paz club hosts the celebration of the Paradiso and Nugrooves Rio sixth anniversary with very special guest DJ, Dave Rowntree. Drummer for the UK band Blur and co-author of many of the bands hits, Rowntree is currently touring Brazil with his live DJ set. During the party tonight, DJs Tito Figueiredo, Edinho, Joca Vidal, Gustavo Magoo and David Tabalipa will also spin.

Tonight its all about visuals as the #FolkatruaVJs celebrate four years and take over Copacabana’s Fosfobox. The Família NewLaje and Bomba Santa parties will fill the Fosfobar with the sights and sounds of pop and hits. Meanwhile, down below in the subsolo (basement), DJs Moreira and Richard L. will spin the best of mash-ups. Johnny Ice and DJ uly kkkkk will also be on hand, delivering the best of baile funk to the party. Tonight Centro’s Espaço Acústica will host the Over.Dose party. On the first stage, DJs Ian Gar6, Rebecca Foxx and Felipe Malfoy will spin the best of pop, pop rock, hits and funk, while on the second stage, DJs Great Guy, Millah, and Bonham will throw down the best retro tunes and the best of film soundtracks. The first 100 attendess will be welcomed with a free shots of Jägermeister and Budweiser will be dose dupla (two for one) all night long.
