Finnish singer Tarja returns to Rio tonight to perform at Lapa’s Circo Voador. Former lead singer for the band Nightwish, Tarja is well known for her classic vocals backed by the sounds of symphonic heavy metal.

ArtRio 2014 (Gamboa)
It’s the last day to catch one of the largest art fairs in Latin America, ArtRio. The modern and contemporary art fair will wrap up its fourth edition today at Rio de Janeiro’s Pier Mauá. Open from 1PM to 8PM, the works by thousnads of international and Brazilian artists will again be presented by hundreds of international galleries.

Art Rua 2014 (Gamboa)
The third edition of the street art and urban culture festival, Art Rua, wraps up tonight at Centro Cultural Ação da Cidadania in Gamboa. The panels by international and Brazilian urban artists will be on display again today, the galleries will be open and Acidum Project will present an exposition. Addtionally at 3:30PM attendees can take a guided tour of the street art in Gamboa and the surrounding area.

O Cluster (Botafogo)
Today beginning at 1PM, the O Cluster fair will host its ninth edition in Botafogo. Known for showcasing new styles, designs, art, music and food in Rio, the fair also will launch its new online magazine today. In addition to clothing, accessories and food vendors at the fair today, DJs Nado Leal,Ícaro do Santos, Gustavo MM, Andrei Yurievitch and Lili Prohmann will spin. Artists Scrau, Rien and Guilherme Memi will paint live and there will be an expo by Henrique Madeira.

Wobble with Om Unit (Copacabana)
It’s time for the best of dubstep, trap and UK garage as the popular Wobble party returns to Copacabana’s Fosfobox. Direct from the UK, special guest DJ Om Unit, will spin in the venue’s subsolo (basement) and DJs Rodrigo S., Marginal Men, and Fabio Heinz will also take to the decks there during the event. VJ Chico Abreu will provide visuals throughout the night.

Duo (Gávea)
End your weekend with house and electro pop at Duo in Gávea’s 00 (Zero Zero). The party begins at 5PM and continues in the chic indoor/outdoor venue until 5AM. Things usually get started on the outdoor deck with DJs Fabiano Pax and Marcia Bertonni and then gradually shifts inside where DJs Mor Rafael Calvente and Dri Toscano usually spin. The weekly event is also known to host special guest DJs.

It’s time to dance as singer-songwriter Rogê returns for his weekly show at Lapa’s Carioca de Gema. The lively up-and-coming performer will present his own compositions as well as covers of works by Jorge, Djavan, and Jorge Benjor, among others.

Roda de Samba, Soccer (Football) and Ballet 2 (Lapa)
Sundays are all about samba and soccer at Lapa’s Leviano bar. Every week beginning at 5PM the venue plays live games on their screens with samba dancers following the matches and the group Ballet 2 playing classics of the genre, including works by Arlindo Cruz, Zeca Pagodinho and João Nogueira, among others.
