Founded by Brazilian brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, co-founders of the hugely popular Brazilian band Sepultura, Cavalera Conspiracy has released two studio albums; 2008’s Inflikted and 2011’s Blunt Force Trauma.
Their third album entitled, Pandemonium, is currently in production and is anticipated for release in November of this year.
Brazilian heavy metal bands Krisiun and Confronto will also perfom tonight.

ArtRio 2014 (Pier Mauá)
The fourth edition of the modern and contemporary art fair, ArtRio opens to the public today at 1PM. One of the largest art fairs in Latin America, ArtRio will take place again in five spacious former warehouses located at Rio de Janeiro’s Pier Mauá. There you can find works from thousands of international and Brazilian artists presented by hundreds of international galleries.

Casa da Matriz’s weekly Veneno events, filled with good music and beautiful people, have helped weekends start early in Rio for over ten years. Tonight La Passion Club in Glória will host this week’s edition of the We Love Open Bar party. Tonight at Lapa’s Carioca da Gema the band Samba Urbano will get things started at 8:30PM and composer Toninho Geraes will follow at 10:30PM. Geraes has composed for artists including Martinho da Vila and Zeca Pagodinho and during his show tonight, he will perform their hits, as well as his own compositions. He will also reinterpret the works of Moacyr Luz, Paulinho da Viola, and Chico Buarque, among others.
