By · December 8, 2021 · 3 min read

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Created in Barcelona 20 years ago, Primavera Sound is an urban festival that has always stood out for its lineup’s extreme quality and its extensive involvement with the local community of each city where it takes place. It will arrive in Buenos Aires for the first time, from November 7 to 13, 2022.

The festival will sound in every corner of the Buenos Aires capital, with shows in the city’s most iconic places during that week, with Parque de Los Niños as its epicenter. Tickets will be on sale soon at AllAccess.

PRIMAVERA SOUND, A FESTIVAL WITH A DISRUPTIVE SPIRIT

Whatever the coordinates where it is held, the disruptive and innovative spirit nurtured by the Barcelona festival for 19 editions remains intact as it was two decades ago.

The new urban festival concept co-produced by DF Entertainment will seek to integrate with its surroundings to enrich the cultural ecosystem of Buenos Aires. To achieve this, it will spread its activity among various venues in the city during the week and move its program to the Parque de los Niños on the weekend.

It is the first time Primavera Sound has arrived on this side of the Atlantic after having confirmed stops in Los Angeles and Santiago de Chile. The three dates in American territory, added to the festivals of Barcelona and Porto, continue to complete a musical journey that in 2022 will connect some of the main cities of the planet to understand what is happening in today’s music from the unmistakable Primavera prism.

With this new transoceanic journey, Primavera Sound will export the fundamental pillars that distinguish it: sustainability, gender equality, social commitment, and urban integration. Unwavering values guarantee that the impact of Primavera Sound as a community of international scope goes beyond the strictly musical.

“Historically, Buenos Aires has been one of the capitals of pop and rock in Spanish; it is a city that has functioned as an engine to drive many musical trends. Interacting with a scene where so many important things have happened especially excites me. We come to integrate ourselves into the city, with both enthusiasm and pride, to be a fundamental part of that engine for the future”, said Gabi Ruiz, director of Primavera Sound.

In this sense, Diego Finkelstein, founder of DF Entertainment, said that “for us, it is a great pride to be part of the Primavera Sound family, and we are deeply grateful for having chosen us as their partners in this adventure”.

“It is a unique event in the world, and we felt that its arrival in Buenos Aires was something destined to happen. Every year, Primavera Sound surpasses itself and sets trends in the world. Its musical curation is unmatched”, he added.

As they say in DF, Primavera Sound not only reflects what is happening now but invites us to know what will happen tomorrow. “It will be an honor that Primavera Sound Buenos Aires will be the stage where our music merges with that of the greatest and most diverse exponents of the world,” said Finkelstein.

The lineup with which Primavera Sound will debut on Argentine soil will be announced soon, with a lineup of bands and artists that will transform Buenos Aires into an undisputed destination for music lovers from November 7 to 13, 2022.

Tickets will be on sale soon through All-access, but you can already register at www.primaverasound.com/buenos-aires to receive complete information about this event.
