Almeida de Sousa, Ana Nunes, and Salgado Costa are the majority shareholders of the private Angolan oil company Somoil.
They, with eight others, make up the company’s shareholder structure, according to its chairman of the board of directors, Edson dos Santos.
In an event called “Café com a Medias”, promoted by Somoil, considered the largest private Angolan oil company operating in the oil sector, he did not advance the names of the remaining eight shareholders.
He ruled out the figure of Manuel Vicente, former Vice-President of the Republic of Angola, and Joaquim David, a former member of the Government, among the company’s 11 partners.
“Somoil is a public limited company, and none of these names that have appeared in the press are part of the group of shareholders.”
“The media has been talking about names like Manuel Vicente and Joaquim David, but none of them are Somoil shareholders,” said Edson dos Santos.
However, the CEO of Somoil assured that the three cited [Almeida de Sousa, Ana Nunes, and Salgado Costa] together represent more than 60% of the company’s capital.
