Tickets for the Le Morne beach party cost 1,500 Mauritian rupees (about US$32) on Otayo, a Mauritian ticketing site. For a US visitor already on the island, it is a low-cost way to spend a Saturday afternoon at one of its best-known beaches.

What the Beach Party Is and Why It Matters

Stories Under the Blue Sky is an afternoon beach party at LUX* Le Morne, and Otayo calls the 28 November date its second edition. Otayo describes the idea as pausing everything to enjoy the sea air, the open sky and the music.

Four DJs are named on the Otayo page: Kevin O’Keeffe, Giovanni Paul, Ramik17 and Jeannot Thomas. They take turns on the decks between 14:00 and 19:00.

Otayo describes a relaxed setting with feet in the sand, music in the open air and a view over the lagoon and the sunset. It adds that cocktails, drinks and a selection of food are on offer.

The party is a single afternoon at a resort, not a major festival. Its appeal for a US visitor is the setting, because the beach sits in front of the Le Morne mountain.

The ticket is sold separately from any room, so a visitor staying elsewhere can book it alone. Check the details below before you plan a trip around it.

Tickets, Prices and How to Buy

Otayo is the place to buy tickets for the Le Morne beach party, and it lists one category, called Normal, at 1,500 rupees. Dollar figures here use 47.3 rupees per US dollar, the rate on Wednesday 28 October 2026, so the ticket is about US$32.

The ticket gives access to the beach party from 14:00 to 19:00. Otayo does not itemise a booking fee, so the final total at checkout is not confirmed.

Food and drinks are not included in the ticket price. They can be bought on site, and outside food and drinks are not permitted.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, according to the event terms. Management can refuse admission, and the end time may change.

Otayo’s office is at The Octopus Building, Royal Road, Pointe aux Canonniers, with a phone line at +230 466 99 99. Buy only through otayo.com, because resale offers from strangers carry a real risk of fakes.

The Venue and How to Get There

LUX* Le Morne is a beach resort on the Le Morne peninsula, in the south-west of Mauritius. The Le Morne beach party takes place on the resort’s beach, facing the lagoon.

Otayo says ticket holders can use some hotel facilities: the lobby, bar, toilets, swimming pool and courtesy rooms. It does not say whether sunbeds or beach towels are included, so ask the resort before you go.

Otayo does not list transport, parking or a shuttle for the Le Morne beach party. Arrange a taxi or a driver for the return trip before 19:00.

Guests are advised to arrive early to settle comfortably, according to the event page. A 14:00 start in late November means strong sun, so bring sun cream and a hat.

By buying a ticket, guests give the resort permission to photograph and film them for promotion, according to the event terms. That includes use at future editions of the party.

Tips for US and Foreign Visitors

Mauritius’s Passport and Immigration Office lists United States of America as “No visa required” in its country-by-country table. The office adds that the immigration officer at the border decides how long each visitor may stay.

The same office says every visitor needs a passport valid beyond the stay, a return ticket, enough funds and a hotel booking or sponsor. The US State Department, the American foreign ministry, also lists no visa for US citizens and a stay of up to 60 days.

The currency is the Mauritian rupee, and Otayo prices are in rupees only. A US card payment will be converted by your bank, so check its foreign-transaction fee before you buy.

The party starts at 14:00 Mauritius time, which is 5 a.m. Eastern Time in the United States on that date. Mauritius is nine hours ahead of New York in late November, so plan around jet lag.

Late November is the start of the warmer, wetter southern summer, so expect heat, humidity and the chance of a short shower. The Mauritius Meteorological Services publishes forecasts and cyclone warnings on its website.

Check the weather the morning of the party, because an open-air event can be changed at short notice. Otayo does not publish a rain plan for the Le Morne beach party.

What Is Not Confirmed Yet

Otayo names LUX* Le Morne as the venue, and the event page carries the resort’s photo-consent terms. We found no resort page for the Le Morne beach party, so the details rest on the Otayo listing.

Food and drink prices, a rain plan, transport and parking are not published. Whether non-guests may use sunbeds is also not stated.

Ticket availability can change within hours, and the price above is the one shown on Wednesday 28 October 2026. Check Otayo before you plan.

No airfares from the United States were checked for this guide. Most US travellers will need at least one connection, so price flights before you commit.
