The Colombian star brings her stadium tour to the Dominican capital on a Friday night in February, and the cheapest seats are already thinning out.

The Karol G Santo Domingo 2027 date is fixed: the Colombian singer plays Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez on Friday 19 February 2027 with her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour. The show is produced locally by Gamal Haché, and the only official seller is Uepa Tickets, which has run the sale on its own event portal since a card presale on 5 May 2026.

For a US fan, Santo Domingo is one of the cheapest and shortest trips on the tour. Seats still on sale start at about US$49 at the 2 October rate, the flight from the East Coast is short, and US citizens need no visa for a stay of up to 30 days. The catch is availability: as of 5 October, the official price list marks several zones as sold out, including the front sections closest to the stage.

What the Concert Is and Why It Matters

Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour is Karol G’s stadium tour built around her latest album, Tropicoqueta, and it takes in stadiums across the Americas and Europe. The Dominican date is the tour’s only announced show in the country, and it is a single night.

The Dominican Republic is one of the strongest markets in Latin music, and Karol G has a large following there. Local outlets treated the May announcement as one of the major concerts of 2027; Acento called it one of the most anticipated shows of the year in the country. The fact that several zones sold out months before the date bears that out.

The LatAm Brief

The concert also lands in a busy stretch for the Olympic park. Before Karol G arrives, the Centro Olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte around the stadium hosts the return of the Festival Presidente on 11 and 12 December 2026, with Katy Perry, Calvin Harris, Don Omar and Juan Luis Guerra; our guide to Festival Presidente in Santo Domingo covers that weekend. Fans who followed the Central American leg can compare notes with our report on Karol G in Costa Rica, where the first night sold out.

The Venue and How to Get There

Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez is the main stadium of the Centro Olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte, a large sports park in the middle of Santo Domingo. It was built for athletics and football and has become the city’s default venue for its biggest open-air concerts. The stands are uncovered in parts, so plan for a warm, humid evening rather than rain cover.

For visitors the location is convenient. The Olympic park sits a short taxi or Uber ride from the hotel districts of Naco and Piantini and not far from the Colonial Zone, where many first-time visitors stay. The city’s main gateway, Las Américas International Airport (SDQ), lies east of the centre and has nonstop service from several US cities, New York and Miami among them; allow extra time on the road on a Friday evening.

Large shows at the stadium bring heavy traffic on the surrounding avenues before and after the concert. Book your ride home in advance, agree a pick-up point a few blocks from the gates, or stay within walking distance of a main avenue where app-based cars can reach you.

Tips for US and Foreign Visitors

Entry. According to the US State Department’s Dominican Republic page, checked on 5 October 2026, US citizens do not need a visa for visits of up to 30 days. The US$10 tourist card fee is included in airline charges, travellers must complete an eTicket for each entry and exit, and should have a passport valid for six months from arrival. Cash or instruments of US$10,000 or more must be declared on entry and exit.

Safety. The State Department rates the Dominican Republic at Level 2, exercise increased caution, mainly because of crime. Its advice fits a stadium night: avoid unregulated taxis and the shared minibuses known as guaguas, use hotel-recommended taxis or rideshare apps, and do not wear or carry valuables that draw attention. Keep your phone out of sight in the crowds outside the gates.

Money. The local currency is the Dominican peso, written RD$. Cards are widely accepted in hotels and malls, but carry some pesos for food and drink vendors around the Olympic park. Check with your bank about foreign transaction fees before you buy tickets, because the Uepa price is charged in pesos.

Timing. February is one of the drier months in Santo Domingo and a popular time for US visitors, which pushes up hotel prices. It is also carnival month in the Dominican Republic, and Independence Day falls on Saturday 27 February, a week after the concert. Booking a room early is wise if you plan to stay on.

What Is Not Confirmed Yet

Gamal Haché’s production has not published door or start times, an opening act, the stadium layout for the night or the bag policy. Uepa Tickets has not said whether a second date will be added if demand holds. Resale prices quoted on social media are not official. We will update this guide when the producer releases the show-day details.
