Very special guest, DJ UZ will headline the night. Well known for his trap mixes, UZ first appeared on the scene seemingly out of nowhere a little over two years ago. He is now considered a major force in trap, a genre of music that blends Southern hip-hop beats with house.
UZ is also well known for being unknown, always performing with his face covered by a black cloth and a golden mask. The mysterious producer has toured worldwide and played numerous festivals including a recent appearance at Coachella 2014 in April.
Rio DJ Rodrigo S, known for his dubstep, trap and house will also spin tonight, as will the Rio DJing duo, Marginal Men. São Paulo DJ C.A.B.L.E. will bring the best of drum and bass, while Rio DJs Vinzzz and Fabio Heinz will deliver the best in house, rap, jungle and funk.

Amon Amarth (Lapa)
Tonight Swedish metal band Amon Amarth will debut in Rio at Lapa’s Circo Voador. Currently on tour in support of their ninth studio album entitled, Deceiver of the Gods, Amon Amarth is known for their Viking metal, a sub-genre of metal and black metal that lyrically references vikings, Norse mythology and paganism. Band Tamuya Thrash Tribe will be the opening act.

It’s time for tech and house at Fosfobox in Copacabana tonight as the Brotherhood event hosts special guests, DJ Bastard Love from Mexico and São Paulo’s DJ Gabriel Boni. Estrella vs. Brick and Nana Torres will also play in the Subsolo (basement) while Housenation will play above at the Fosfobar.

Machina Rock (Botafogo)
Tonight Casa da Martiz hosts a special edition of the Machina Rock event which will include VJs playing rock videos on big screens in the venue. The event will have two stages. One will be for rock/alternatives videos, with VJs Buba, Bgolls Incrível, and Vino playing videos by the band Muse and other alternatives acts. The second stage will host DJs Igor Boechat and Lis Amaral playing pop tracks.

It’s all about electronic music at the open bar party event at Glória’s La Passion Club. Resident house DJ Fernando Deluz and guest DJ Roger Lyra will spin and the open bar will include vodka, beer, water and soda.

The Daniela Spielmann Trio will start things off at 8PM at Centro’s Rio Scenarium tonight. The trio consisting of Rio saxophonist Daniela Spielmann, guitarist Bilinho Teixeira and percussionist Xande Figueiredo will bring the sounds of frevo, maracatu, samba, bossa nova and jazz. Next at 9PM, singer Dorina will deliver samba and finally at 2:30 AM Cassiano will present the Feira de São Cristovão, performing some of the best forró pé de serra music live to Centro.

Joyce Cândido, Samba Urbano and Seu Bando (Lapa)
Tonight in Lapa singer Joyce Cândido and the group Samba Urbano will fill the first floor of the Leviano bar with the sounds of samba. While meanwhile on the second floor, Bailão Leviano will present a show from the bloco Percussamba which will include their versions of MPB, sambalanço, and samba hits.
