Flamengo secured a vital home victory, defeating Cruzeiro 2-1 on Sunday at Maracanã Stadium.

Cruzeiro gradually balanced the game and equalized at 37 minutes when Matheus Pereira scored from the edge of the area, outplaying Rossi.
