Claro Brasil Reports 13.2% EBITDA Growth in Q3 2024

Claro Brazil, the Brazilian subsidiary of América Móvil, has reported its financial results for the third quarter of 2024. The company’s performance shows consistent growth across various sectors.

Claro Brasil’s EBITDA reached R$5.4 billion ($964.3 million), marking a 13.2% increase from the previous year. This growth reflects improved operational efficiency and profitability.

The total net revenue for the quarter amounted to R$ 12.34 billion ($2.2 billion), a 7.4% rise compared to 2023. Mobile services played a significant role in this growth, with revenues increasing by 9.8%.

Claro Brasil added 703,000 new mobile customers, expanding its subscriber base to 85 million. The company maintained its lead in number portability and increased its average revenue per user.

In the postpaid segment, Claro Brasil saw 1.6% year-over-year growth, reaching 49.7 million subscribers. The company’s market share in this segment rose to 34.1% in August 2023.

Claro Brasil’s 5G network now serves 8.7 million devices, representing a 39% market share in this emerging technology sector. Fixed services also contributed to the company’s overall growth.

Revenue from this segment increased by 4.1% year-over-year, reaching R$ 5.16 billion ($921.4 million). Claro Brasil added 59,800 new fixed broadband subscribers during the quarter.

The company maintains its leadership in the Brazilian pay-TV market with a 41.6% market share. Claro Brasil’s fiber network expansion continues, now covering 11.1 million homes across 450 cities.

The corporate market operating under the Embratel brand reported significant growth in several areas. SD-WAN services grew by 45.1%, satellite services by 39%, and security services by 28.8%.
