Calvin Harris is billed for two nights at The Line Up in Chapultepec on October 30 and 31, 2026, on Mexican Grand Prix weekend. The venue’s operator said in late September that city permits were still missing, so buyers should wait for official confirmation.

For expats in Mexico City, the festival promised the centrepiece of the year’s biggest entertainment weekend: Formula 1 by day and one of the world’s best-paid DJs by night, inside the city’s great park. The permit question now matters more than the line-up, because large events in the city need civil-protection approval before they can go ahead.

What the Permit Dispute Means for Ticket Buyers

On September 23, CFE said the festival had no permits from Mexico City’s civil-protection office or its environmental authority, both of which it called indispensable for a mass event at the museum. It added that the event would also need a traffic operation and advised the public to wait for official confirmation before paying.

Profeco had already warned about emails offering a fake presale for October 29, 30 and 31, and told consumers not to buy while the authorisations were missing. As of October 12 we found no public statement that the permits had been granted, and NPU Live had not commented when El Universal reported the dispute.

If you already hold tickets, keep your receipt and deal only with the festival’s official channel, never with a private seller paid by bank transfer. Profeco takes complaints about events that are cancelled or changed, so file with the agency if a refund is refused.

Calvin Harris Mexico City 2026: The Two Nights

Harris is billed for Friday October 30 and Saturday October 31, as two standalone headline nights rather than a single festival slot. Each night is sold as its own concert, so a ticket for one does not cover the other.

The Thursday before belongs to Sean Paul, 3BallMTY, Deorro and Bolo, which would make the festival a three-night run through Chapultepec. According to Mexican press reports, ticket sales are limited to adults aged 18 and over.

A New Festival in the Park

MUNET, the National Museum of Energy and Technology, is a working museum campus run by CFE in the second section of the Bosque de Chapultepec. Its open grounds put the festival within a short ride of Condesa, Roma and Polanco.

The nearest Metro station is Constituyentes on Line 7, which beats any car journey on a busy evening. Expect heavy traffic around the park all weekend, because the Grand Prix fills the city with visitors.

Grand Prix and Halloween Weekend

The festival nights overlap with the Formula 1 Mexico City Grand Prix, which runs from Friday October 30 to the race on Sunday November 1. Saturday October 31 is also Halloween and the day of the city’s Day of the Dead parade, so the whole centre will be crowded.
