Suspension bridge collapses in Mexico during reopening: Mayor among 25 injured

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - At least 25 people were injured in the collapse of a suspension bridge, two of them seriously, reports Milenio, citing state civil defense authorities.

The mayor, his wife, and other officials had to be hospitalized for their injuries after falling nearly three meters. According to the same media, it was the Ribereño Bridge in Cuernavaca's Porfirio Díaz Park.

"We have in the preliminary count two seriously injured priority people who have been helped. The path is complicated because there are many stairs, a very steep slope, and they have to be pulled out . . .
