Brazil’s Supreme Court majority votes for mandatory vaccine passport

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Federal Supreme Court (STF) has reached a majority in the trial analyzing the injunction of Justice Luis Roberto Barroso, who last Saturday ruled that the vaccine passport is mandatory for travelers entering Brazil.

So far, the rapporteur Justice Barroso, Cármen Lúcia, Alexandre de Moraes, Rosa Weber, Edson Fachin and STF Chief Luiz Fux have voted, totaling 6. No justice has voted against so far. The trial takes place in the Virtual Plenary of the STF and will continue until 11:59 PM today, Thursday, December 16.
