Brazil’s Bolsonaro sends bill to Congress for US$178 million in credit for Ministries

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – President Jair Bolsonaro submitted a bill to Congress requesting the opening of a special credit of R$1 billion (US$178 million) for the Ministries of Economy, Education, Justice and Public Safety, Infrastructure and Regional Development.

The dispatch was announced on Tuesday, November 30, in a statement by the general secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic.

According to the government, the bill seeks to implement the Ministries’ projects, it does not impact the golden rule or the new fiscal regime and is compatible with the primary result target.
