Paraguay, Argentina rehabilitate Yacyretá dam border crossing for public passenger transport
The border crossing between Paraguay and Argentina, located on the crest of the Yacyretá Hydroelectric Power Plant, was rehabilitated this Monday for public passenger bus service, informed the bi-national entity.
This crossing, which links the Paraguayan city of Ayolas and the Argentine city of Ituzaingó, was closed in March 2020 due to restrictions imposed by the governments of both countries in the framework of the health emergency of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The official report of the bi-national entity Yacyretá refers that the reopening of traffic is, for the moment, only for the public transport service of passengers, with two daily frequencies during the seven days of the week.
Buses will depart at 09:00 AM and 02:30 PM from the Ituzaingó terminal and at 10:45 AM and 04:15 PM from the Ayolas bus terminal, thus connecting the two stations.
