Chile and Bolivia reactivate Road Map after 48 years without diplomatic relations

Foreign Minister Antonia Urrejola and her Bolivian counterpart held a bilateral meeting in Paraguay to reactivate the Road Map signed last year in La Paz. The two countries have not maintained diplomatic relations since 1978 and only have consular ties.

The Chilean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonia Urrejola, held a bilateral meeting with her Bolivian counterpart, Rogelio Mayta, to reaffirm their commitment to building a mutual trust plan.

At the meeting, held in Paraguay on the occasion of the 60th Summit of the Heads of State Parties and the Associated States of Mercosur, the need to initiate a new stage in the negotiations between the two countries was discussed.
