Manufacturing industry represents more than 50% of exports made in Bolivia

The President of Bolivia, Luis Arce, highlighted that -as of May 2022- the manufacturing industry represented more than 50% of exports, which translated into US$2.892 billion of the US$5.716 billion generated by the mobilization of Bolivian products abroad.

Likewise, between January and May 2022, Bolivia registered its largest trade surplus in nine years, for US$1.082 billion. Where the figure reached by shipments abroad exceeded that made by imports, which totaled US$4.634 billion, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
