Brazilian tourism revenue grows 32% in July

Brazilian tourism billed R$18.3 (US$3.5) billion in July, the Tourism Council of the Federation of Commodity Trade, Services and Tourism of the State of São Paulo (FecomercioSP) said on Friday (16).

According to the association, this represented an increase of 32.1% compared to the same period last year, resulting in school vacations.

Compared to July 2019, before the Covid 19 pandemic, sales were 2% lower.

The segment that contributed the most to the increase in tourism in July was air transport, which increased by 86.8% year-on-year, followed by accommodation and food . . .
