RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil's cereal, oilseed, and legume production will reach 263 million tons this year, according to the latest IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) forecasts.
That figure represents a record volume 3.8% higher than that obtained in 2021.
Last year, the Brazilian grain harvest was 252.3 million tons, 0.8% below the record achieved in 2020 (255.4 million).
In 2022, some of the crops have benefited from favorable weather conditions, which allows for predicting a new historical level.
