Brazil 2022 elections has more than 1.1 million new voters under the age of 18, says TSE

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – According to Brazil’s Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Brazil gained more than 1.1 million new voters in the 15 to 18 age group from January to March this year.

In 2018 and 2014, just over 850,000 new titles were issued in each general election period.

He evaluates that today the political debate is present as a discussion agenda among the youth.

In Brazil, voting is optional for 16 and 17-year-old teenagers. To vote in 2022, young people can request the title until May 4th. It is also the deadline for the voter to transfer the electoral domicile and regularize any pending issues with the Electoral Justice.
