Brazilian coffee harvest rises to 89%, reaching the pace of 2021

The coffee harvest of the 2022/23 cycle in Brazil reached 89% of the total projected by August 9, boosting six percentage points over the previous week, so that the pace of work balanced index at the same time last year seen, according to data released by Safras & Mercado on Thursday.

There is a slight gap of two percentage points compared to the historical average.

According to the consultancy, coffee farmers in the world's largest producer and exporter have already harvested 54.26 million bags, from an estimated harvest of 61.1 million 60-kilo bags.
