Wizkid headlines the Live Out Loud Music Festival at Eagle Square in Abuja on Sunday, 13 December 2026. Tix Africa, the official seller, lists standard tickets at NGN 50,000 (about US$38).

The organiser gives gates at 4 p.m. and Wizkid on stage at 10 p.m., which is 4 p.m. US Eastern. US visitors need a Nigerian visa and should read the State Department’s Level 3 advisory before booking.

Who Wizkid Is and Why This Show Matters

Wizkid is one of Nigeria’s best-known Afrobeats singers and a Grammy winner. The Recording Academy lists his 2021 Best Music Video award for “Brown Skin Girl” with Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Carter.

The academy also lists five further nominations, including “Essence” with Tems. At the 68th Grammy Awards, he was nominated for Best African Music Performance for “Gimme Dat” with Ayra Starr.

Wizkid announced the Abuja date this week with flyers on his verified Instagram account. Voice of Nigeria, the state-owned international broadcaster, reported the announcement on Wednesday, 14 October.

The Nigerian music site NotJustOk published the date, the Eagle Square venue and the Tix Africa listing on Tuesday, 13 October. The Abuja show is billed as “Wizkid Live in Abuja” within the Live Out Loud Music Festival brand.

Nova Flair Media and Entertainment hosts the event on Tix Africa and appears among the sponsors on the festival website. Heineken, Hennessy, Desperados, Trace and Transcorp Hotels are also listed as sponsors.

The Abuja night opens a busy December for the singer at home. Organisers of Detty December Fest in Lagos have billed him for their opening night on Friday, 18 December.

Eagle Square has hosted big December concerts before. Davido headlined a Heineken-backed show there on 14 December 2025, the Nigerian culture site Culture Custodian reported.

Tickets and Prices

Tix Africa is the only seller named by the organiser, through wizkid.tix.africa and the Tix Africa event page. Every ticket button on the festival website leads to that store.

On Thursday, 15 October, Tix Africa listed three ticket types for the night. Amounts are converted at NGN 1,331.83 per US$1, the open.er-api.com rate of 15 October 2026.

  • Standard Early Bird: sold out
  • Standard: NGN 50,000 (about US$38)
  • Gold Table for eight: NGN 2,562,500 (about US$1,924, or about US$241 per guest)

The Gold Table package seats eight and includes bottles of Hennessy VS, Moët champagne, Lord’s Dry Gin and Best Cream Liqueur. It also adds Heineken and Desperados mixers, ciders, water and a food platter.

The event page does not say whether a booking fee is added at checkout. Buy only from Tix Africa, since tickets resold on social media may be fake or already used.

Eagle Square and How to Get There

Eagle Square is a large open-air ceremonial ground in the Central Business District of Abuja, the federal capital. President Bola Tinubu was sworn in there on 29 May 2023, the Nigerian newsroom ICIR reported.

The organiser gives the address simply as Eagle Square, CBD, Abuja, with a map link on its website. Gates open at 4 p.m., and Tix Africa lists the programme running until 11:55 p.m.

The house rules are strict for a festival night. Entry is for over-18s, and under-18s get in only with a ticketed adult guardian.

There is no re-entry once a guest leaves the grounds, so keep the wristband on. Bags are searched at the gate, and professional cameras and drones are banned.

Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport lies outside the city centre, so plan the transfer before landing. The State Department says ride-share apps are safer than traditional taxis in Nigeria.

It advises checking the driver and vehicle before getting in and sharing trip details through the app. It also warns against hailing taxis on the street, especially at night.

Expect slow traffic around the Central Business District as the crowd arrives and leaves. Agree on a pickup point away from the main gate before the show ends.

Tips for US and Foreign Visitors

US citizens need a visa for Nigeria and must apply before they travel, the State Department says. The Nigeria Immigration Service runs an online e-Visa portal at evisa.immigration.gov.ng.

Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond arrival, with one blank page for each entry stamp. Travellers older than nine months must show yellow fever and polio vaccination certificates on arrival.

Cash above US$10,000 must be declared on entry and exit, the department says. Dual nationals need a valid Nigerian passport to leave the country.

The State Department rates Nigeria at Level 3, Reconsider Travel, in an advisory issued on 12 June 2026. The Federal Capital Territory, which includes Abuja, is not among its Do Not Travel areas.

The department warns that terrorists target crowds at large public events, including celebrations and sporting contests. It also says violent crime is common throughout Nigeria and kidnappings for ransom happen often.

US government help is limited outside Abuja, Lagos and their surroundings, the department notes. It urges travellers to enrol in its Smart Traveler Enrollment Program before departure.

Nigeria runs on West Africa Time, one hour ahead of GMT, with no daylight saving time. In December, Abuja is six hours ahead of New York.

What It Means for You

For a US fan planning a Nigerian December, the Abuja show adds a second Wizkid date at about US$38 a ticket. Pairing it with the Lagos festival opening on 18 December lets one trip cover both cities.

The bigger costs are the visa, the flights and safe transport, not the ticket itself. Book a ride-share or a hotel car for the return trip, since the programme ends close to midnight.

What Is Not Known

No supporting acts have been announced, and Wizkid’s set length is not published. The event page also does not show how many standard tickets remain or what the early bird tier cost.

The festival website pairs the date with Saturday, but 13 December 2026 falls on a Sunday, as Tix Africa shows. Tix Africa also labels its 5 p.m. to 11:55 p.m. programme UTC, while NotJustOk gives those times as Abuja time.

Refund terms are not stated on the event page, and it is not known whether the concert will be filmed or streamed. The Nigerian news site PM Parrot says details of other performers and further dates are expected in the coming weeks.

What Comes Next

The next step is the announcement of supporting acts on the festival website and Tix Africa. Five days after Abuja, Wizkid is due to open Detty December Fest in Lagos on Friday, 18 December.

Any change to gates, set times or the date would come from the organiser and Tix Africa. Buyers should keep the confirmation email and check their Tix Africa account in the week before the show.
