Tuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Casa da Matriz has returned to one of their first musical programs since opening years back, introducing weekly live rock n’ roll in Botafogo. The format was created with the goal of making upcoming rock bands more accessible and giving Tuesdays, a night not famous for late-night partying, some much-needed kick.
With their multi-room layout, old-school arcade games, and small classic junk shop, this shabby-chic venue has the look and feel of a great house party. The club’s crowd appreciates the adventurous musical policy, especially tonight with live bands and killer shows. Tonight will feature Sound Bullet and Clashing Clouds playing indie rock, post punk and alternative.
