Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Noon is on again at 00 (Zero Zero) in Gavea with another great lineup of both local, national and international talent. On the decks today in the beautiful open air venue are Sebastian Voigt from Germany, Fabo from south Brazil and Carioca Mary Zander.
Born and raised amongst the creatures of the Black Forest, Sebastian Voigt made his name in the London music world as co-founder and resident of the infamous Lo*kee parties which were once described by Mixmag as “the best (and most private) Sunday afternoon rendezvous to hit East London in a long time”.
Many years of collecting records combined with his love for hedonistic raves helped shape his warm and eclectic sound, which in absence of a better classification could be described as a blend of psychedelic House and stripped back Techno, topped up with a healthy dose of Disco and Acid. In his often extended DJ sets, Sebastian tries to avoid the obvious and is not afraid to take the crowd to unexpected places while always keeping it fun and entertaining.

A heavy duty night of rock and funk is on tonight at Circo Voador with Latin Grammy nominated rock group Plebe Rude on stage. They will be joined by Brazilian surf, garage, rock, punk and rockabilly band Autromas and last but definitely not least rapper, rocker and all around musical champion BNegao! This night will surely be absurd in the ways of heavy tunage!
