Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – B-Side at Prainha Lounge in Lagoa is on tonight with special guests Brazilian duo Bruce Leroys, along with Felipe Godoi, residents Breaking Legs, Benaion and Bochner. The B-Side party celebrates the truly awesome power of house music once a month.
In the music industry, the A-side and B-side are expressions that are associated directly with vinyl records. Historically, the B-side of the discs was composed of different songs and experimental alternatives. Many artists, great composers and singers have stated that the B-side of their vinyls is their true side, their essence. It was said that the A-side of their discs contained the more commercial songs, and the B-side referred to the non-commercial, more alternative material, offering more of a unique insight into their artistry.
