Rio Nightlife Guide for Tuesday, June 25, 2019

We have the top three picks for this Tuesday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.
DRINKS:
Mundo Lingo @ Jungle Garden Pub (Botafogo) – Fancy practising a language while having fun and meeting new people? Then head down to Mundo Lingo’s twenty-fifth edition, taking place at the Jungle Garden Pub in Botafogo this evening.
When you arrive, look for the table with the flags, and someone will be able to instruct you as to how it works. You stick flags on your top for the languages you know, from strongest at the top to weakest at the bottom.
This free event begins at 7 PM.
Mundo Lingo – Rua Martins Ferreira 48 – Botafogo
For more information, consult the event page.
LIVE:
Sofar Rio @ Secret Location (Lapa) – If you want something a little different to do on a Tuesday night, then Sofar Rio might be just the ticket for you.
Part treasure hunt, part musical experience, you will be participating in a secret concert taking place somewhere in Lapa, with special performances from the wonderful duo Bia Ferreira and Doralyce.
The performance starts at 7 PM, and tickets are between R$26-R$42.
Sofar Rio – Itinerante Secreto (Secret Location) – Lapa
For more information, check out the event page.
LIVE:
Cria @ Manouche (Jardim Botanico) – For a dose of culture, conversation, live music, and the chance to bask in the glow of a bona fide Brazilian musical legend, join O Globo’s music journalist Leonardo Lichote for a chat and a jam with none other than Tom Zé.
Stories about some of his most iconic songs and their creation will be interwoven with Zé picking up the guitar, or whatever instrument comes to hand and serenading the crowd. This idiosyncratic legend of Tropicália is bound to be a good value for money.
The evening begins at 9 PM, and tickets are R$30.
Cria – Rua Jardim Botanico, 983 – Jardim Botanico
