Ipanema Bossa Jazz @ Badalado (Lagoa) – Come down to Badalado club on the shores of Rio’s beautiful lagoa (lake) and soak up the vibes and the sunset with some live music courtesy of Ipanema Bossa Jazz.
Picturesque surroundings in a friendly establishment with great music, what could be more perfect?
This place is always a great hit with everyone who goes there, especially on the nights they do music.
Tickets are R$15 and the music should start at around 7PM.

KARAOKÊ:
Karaokê, Quiz and Pool! @ Saloon 79 (Botafogo) – Every Thursday is open stage at Saloon 79.
This means free entry to a karaokê night with a difference. You can sing along with a band accompanying you live (with lyrics displayed in front of you).
There will also be DJs in the intervals, and lots of great bottled and draft beers at a reasonable price.
The fun continues, with a MisterQuiz gameshow where there will be questions on pop culture, music and film with a chance to win big prizes.
The bar also has plenty of pool tables out back. Doors open at 8:30PM.

MÚSICA BRASILEIRA:
Zé Paulo Becker @ The Blue Note (Lagoa) – Another great night of jazz on the lake. Blue Note Rio, renowned for putting on class acts, are again surpassing expectations with this night of music from Zé Paulo Becker.
Zé Paulo Becker is celebrating thirty years of his career and the launch of his new CD/DVD ‘Zé Paulo Becker – Violão, Amigos e Canções (Guitar, Friends, and Songs)’ with this special, intimate performance. He is also inviting up onto stage two friends and legends of Brazilian music in their own right, Ney Matogrosso and Beth Marques.
Zé Paulo Becker (guitar) will be accompanied by musicians Caio Márcio (guitar), Tiago Souza (mandolin), Rodrigo Villa (bass), Dudu Oliveira (sax and flute) and Erivelton Silva drums).
Tickets start from R$45 and the show gets underway at 10:30PM.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5PM and finishes at 8PM.

Pub Escondido (Copacabana)
Those into the pub atmosphere will also love Pub Escondido, a discrete venue with premium beer labels, modern design and a really cool vibe. The pub offers 24 different beer taps, which includes the house’s draught beer, Escondido Weiss, made of wheat.

Blue Agave Ipanema (Ipanema)

Yndú Lounge (Leblon)
With chilled out vibes during the week and a selection of top DJs playing shows at the weekends, the newly-opened Yndú Lounge in Ipanema is a great option to kick back. With a selection of drinks and tapas, the bar is quickly becoming one of Leblon’s best watering holes.
