An extended version of the event, it will feature over eleven hours of dancing in downtown Rio. DJs Juca and Rodrigo Esper will start things off with the sounds of swing jazz and new jazz and the Manie Gang will takeover at midnight, playing some of the best electro-swing, electro-blues and other remixed retro-beats from the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s.
Scottish DJ and producer Frizzo will also be a special guest as will the Rio Hoppers performing the Lindy Hop and juggler Luix Equixx.
The suggested dress code should give those considering attending a good feel for what to expect from the event. It reads as follows; “Vintage, lindy hop, pierrot (the clown), bearded lady, cabaret, burlesque, pin up, years 20-50, sword swallower, drunk gentleman, contortionist, retro-glam and retro-freaks.”
It is definitely a night not to be missed by clubgoers who love all things swing and vintage.

Brazilian singer-songwriter Vanessa da Mata plays Lapa’s Circo Voador for the first time ever tonight as she premieres her latest album there tonight. The evening launches the tour, “Segue o Som” (“Follow the Sound”) in support of the new album, her fifth studio release.

Wobble celebrates Hy Brazil (Copacabana)
Tonight at Fosfobox, Wobble and Chico Dub present the first celebration of Hy Brazil, a compilation series curated by Chico Dub, that publicizes new electronic and experimental sounds in Brazil. Four volumes have been released with each including fourteen unreleased tracks from fourteen new Brazilian artists.
The lineup for the event tonight includes OMULU, Leo Justi, Rio Shock, Carrot Green, Manara, Epicentro do Bloquinho, Chico Dub, Rodrigo S. and Marginal Men.

Tonight it’s all about crazy masks and Jägermeister at the Praia Club as it hosts the third edition of JÄGERZ. Partygoers will receive a triple JÄGERZ shot (redbull and Jägermeister) when they enter the event and masks will be distributed to all.

Tonight singer-songwriter Gabriel Versiani again starts things off at Rio Scenarium at 8PM with jazz samba, bossa nova and samba classics. Samba in Véia will follow at 11PM with the best of 60s and 70s samba and bossa nova, samba-rock, and sambalanço. Finally, the group Trio Ustrês will close out the night with the sounds of forró pé de serra beginning at 2:30AM.
