Favorable weather aids wheat sowing in Brazils’s Paraná state; prices drop in the state

By · May 25, 2021 · 1 min read

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Rainfall and lower temperatures in the last days of the second half of May have benefited the wheat crop in all of Brazil’s producing regions.

Favorable weather aids wheat sowing in Paraná

According to the Center for Advanced Studies on Applied Economics (CEPEA), the scenario, coupled with attractive grain prices, should prompt the sowing to progress more quickly in the last days of May.

Field work is delayed when compared to past crops, although the wheat already sown have shown improvement in their conditions.

Meanwhile, the prices paid to producers have begun to decline more sharply than in the wholesale sector of Paraná.
