EMBRAER sells Praetor 600 jetliner to German company

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – EMBRAER (EMBR3) on Tuesday announced that it has signed a contract with German Aerodata AG for the sale of a Praetor 600 jetliner to be converted into an in-flight inspection aircraft to perform a variety of different missions.

The Brazilian manufacturer says that the delivery to Aerodata is scheduled for 2022, when the installation of the systems and equipment required to perform the missions will begin.

According to an EMBRAER statement, the latest-generation Praetor 600 aircraft “fully complies with the high-level requirements of the end operator and is prepared for the installation of Aerodata’s state-of-the-art in-flight inspection system.”

After the modification, the aircraft will be delivered and operated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in South Korea, which conducted the international tender for the purchase and will be the end user.

“This is the first time EMBRAER conducts the sale of an aircraft for this type of mission outside Brazil, creating market opportunities for the company’s innovative solutions using its current product portfolio,” the company said in the statement.

The contract with Aerodata also includes pilot and mechanic training and an initial support package for the end user.

The aircraft will be equipped by EMBRAER with some optional features, such as state-of-the-art communication systems, paperless operation capability, and additional interior features.
