Colombia’s Central Bank Cuts Interest Rate to 11.25%

In a recent strategic move, Colombia’s Central Bank lowered its interest rate to 11.25%.

The board also considered a June survey showing a dip in one-year inflation forecasts from 4.6% to 4.3%. The projection remained stable at 3.8% for the end of 2025.

These figures, sourced from the public debt market, reveal a downward trend but remain above the bank’s target for the next two years.

Further discussions highlighted unexpected economic vitality, with GDP growth in the first quarter reaching 0.9%, surpassing the predicted 0.3%.
