Argentina’s Grammy-winning duo brings its Free Spirits World Tour to an open-air amphitheatre outside San José on a Sunday night in November.

CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso, the Argentine duo behind the Grammy-winning EP PAPOTA, play Costa Rica on Sunday, 15 November 2026. The show starts at 7 p.m. at Parque Viva’s open-air Anfiteatro Imperial in La Guácima, Alajuela, west of San José.

For US fans, the timing matters: the US and Canada dates listed by Live Nation, the tour promoter, ended on 24 July. The Costa Rica date falls between San Juan, Puerto Rico, on 8 November and four South American shows.

Who CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso Are

The two Argentine musicians met in primary school and formed a progressive rock band, Astor, in 2011, Live Nation’s biography says. They debuted as a duo in 2019, mixing trap, hip hop and pop with an unpredictable twist.

Their 2024 album, BAÑO MARÍA, came out the same year as their Tiny Desk Concert for NPR, the US public radio network. That performance drew wide attention and showed a more organic, musically sophisticated side, the biography says.

In 2025 they played more than 60 dates on four continents, including Coachella, Lollapalooza and Glastonbury. They also made their US television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

PAPOTA won the Grammy for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album in February 2026. At the 26th Latin Grammy Awards in late 2025, the duo took five prizes from 10 nominations.

Live Nation calls those 10 nominations the most ever for an Argentine project in a single year. Their latest album, FREE SPIRITS, features guests including Sting, Jack Black and Anderson .Paak.

The Venue and How to Get There

Parque Viva is a multi-venue events park in La Guácima, a district of Alajuela west of the capital, San José. Its Anfiteatro Imperial, once known as the Coca-Cola amphitheatre, is an open-air stage for concerts and live shows.

The venue says it is 18 minutes from Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), Costa Rica’s main gateway for US flights. It is also about 10 minutes from the highway linking the capital region to the Pacific coast.

Parque Viva lists 3,900 parking spaces, with advance parking sold through parqueate.cr. Taxis and ride-hailing services such as Uber usually have special access to the site, according to the venue.

Bus firm Zúñiga e Hijos runs the regular route, TUASA activates a special route and private operators also offer transport. The venue also describes satellite parking in San José with a round-trip shuttle during major events.

Whether a shuttle will run for this Sunday show has not been announced. Check the venue’s transport page in the week of the concert.

Tickets and Prices

Tickets are sold through eticket.cr, the platform that Parque Viva’s own event page links to. CRHoy.com, a Costa Rican news site, reported that presales ran on 22 and 23 June, with general sale from 24 June.

On 7 October, the seller’s listing showed five zones, all marked as available. Prices run from CRC 40,100 (about US$88) in the side sections to CRC 55,100 (about US$121) for the standing Golden Circle.

Central seats cost CRC 45,300 (about US$99) or CRC 50,200 (about US$110), depending on the section. The seller says its service charge is already included in the listed price.

A package called the Free Spirits Ultimate VIP Experience costs CRC 113,200 (about US$248). It bundles a Golden Circle standing ticket, early entry, a tour T-shirt, towel and poster, and dedicated VIP check-in staff.

Conversions use the open.er-api.com reference rate of 7 October 2026, about CRC 457 per US dollar. Buying directly from eticket.cr is the surest way to get a genuine ticket.

Tips for US and Foreign Visitors

US citizens do not need a visa for stays of less than 180 days, according to the US State Department. Their passport must be valid for the period of the stay, and a return ticket is required.

Costa Rican immigration officers decide how long each visitor may stay, so the full 180 days is not guaranteed. Travellers of other nationalities should check the rules for their own passport before booking.

The State Department rates Costa Rica at Level 2, “Exercise increased caution,” because of crime, in an advisory dated 2 April 2026. It says petty crime is common and that violent crime also affects tourists.

It advises visitors to use only licensed taxis or well-known ride-sharing services and to avoid public buses because of pickpocketing. A pre-booked ride or an organised shuttle is therefore the safer way home after the show.

The concert is for over-18s only, so carry your passport or another photo ID in case of age checks. The amphitheatre is open-air, so a light rain jacket is worth packing.

Hotels around Alajuela and the airport are the closest base for the show. Budget for parking or a ride on top of the ticket, since the venue sits outside the city.

What It Means for You

If you live in Costa Rica or are planning a mid-November trip, the concert fits easily around a beach or volcano itinerary. Flying into SJO on Saturday and out on Monday keeps the concert night simple.

If you missed the summer leg, Live Nation’s published itinerary lists only one more 2026 date on US soil. That is San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Sunday, 8 November.

Because the show is for adults only, families travelling with teenagers should plan a different evening. Seat availability can change quickly as the date nears, so check eticket.cr before booking flights.

What Is Not Known

Door times, any opening act and the expected finish time have not been published by the seller, the venue or the tour. Parque Viva has not said whether a San José shuttle will run for this concert.

The seller’s page also shows a separate day-of-event price whose currency is unclear, so check the final amount at checkout. The listing names DMN World SRL as organiser, but no local promoter has published production details.

What Comes Next

The duo play the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan on Sunday, 8 November, a week before Costa Rica. After Alajuela, the tour heads to São Paulo on 18 November and Rio de Janeiro on 20 November.

Live Nation’s list then ends with Santiago, Chile, on 23 November and Lima, Peru, on 27 November. The Costa Rica date does not signal a wider Central American run, as Live Nation lists no other stop in the region.
