The value represents an increase of 1.08% compared to last year’s period.

In 2021, the surplus totaled US$57.4 billion. Based on the daily average, which considers only working days, the increase was 0.7%.

According to the government, in this year’s 2022 accumulated, Brazilian exports totaled US$308.82 billion, and imports totaled US$250.79 billion, in rounded values.

The accumulated value for the year is higher than the projection made in September by the Ministry of Economy when the ministry estimated that the trade balance would end the year with a positive balance of US$55.4 billion.

In 2021, the Brazilian trade balance recorded a surplus of US$61 billion.
