Violent Crime Drops by 57 Percent in the State of São Paulo

SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL - Violent crime decreased in 79 of the 139 municipalities in São Paulo (57 percent), according to the Index of Exposure to Violent Crime (IECV), an evaluation conducted by Instituto Sou da Paz based on indicators from the São Paulo State Public Security Secretariat.

The study considers cities with a population greater than 50 thousand inhabitants.
